In recent years, the die-casting machine industry in China has developed rapidly and the market size has grown significantly. Data shows that the market size of China's die-casting machine industry has increased from 8 billion yuan in 2016 to 17 billion yuan in 2020, with a compound annual growth rate of 20.7%. With the continuous expansion of downstream application fields, it is expected that the market size of China's die-casting machine industry will reach 21 billion yuan by 2022.

According to data from the General Administration of Customs, from January to November 2021, China imported 127 cold chamber die-casting machines, with an import amount of 35 million US dollars.

In 2020, there were 316 cold chamber die-casting machines exported, a year-on-year decrease of 22.36%, and the export amount was 34.16 million US dollars, a decrease of 14.21 million US dollars compared to 2019. As of November 2021, China has exported 448 cold chamber die-casting machines with an export value of 57.19 million US dollars.

From the perspective of competitive landscape, China's leading enterprises in the die-casting machine industry have obvious advantages, with Lijin ranking first among domestic cold chamber die-casting machine enterprises with a market share of 49%. Next is Yizhimi, with a market share of 14%. Toshiba, Toyo, and Buhler have World Bank shares of 8%, 5%, and 3%, respectively. There is still room for improvement in the overall technical level.
